Affirmative Action – Yaoundé, Cameroon

Affirmative Action is a Cameroonian youth-led organization working to reduce the prevalence of HIV and STIs among vulnerable groups and other key populations; to facilitate the integration and re-integration of these communities; to promote a rights-based approach to sexual and reproductive health and rights; to promote advocacy efforts with the community; and to promote youth leadership within the community.

Some other activities that Affirmative Action carry out are: to provide welcome refuge for LGBT victims of violence and rejection from their community, to develop educational talks on issues of sexual health, human rights and gender issues, to promote comprehensive sexual education for adolescents and young people.
