Pioneer Institute for Social Change – Navan, Indonesia
Pioneer Institute for Social Change or Lembaga Pelopor Perubahan Sosial (LP2S) in Indonesian, is a youth-led initiative executed by young leaders working on young sex workers’ sexual health and rights issues in Indonesia.
Street-based young sex workers often lack access to health and social services in the country and LP2S makes a counterbalance to this challenging situation by providing educational sessions for young women sex workers on health and rights. In addition, LP2S has been engaged with local public health institutions to improve access to the services for young women sex workers.
As a result of targeted advocacy, the Ministry of Health has started the mobile clinic for young street-based sex workers where they can get basic consultations and services.
