Ganesha – Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Ganesha is the first Bishkek-based youth organization of young women who use drugs working to protect and promote the rights and interests of young people who use drugs and young people living with HIV under a Peer-to-peer approach.

The organization has been working in three main areas: ensuring access to quality harm reduction services, advocacy and educational seminars on a range of issues including HIV and pregnancy and lethal overdose prevention.

In addition, Ganesha works to create leadership development and community involvement in the process of promoting the rights, interests and  ensuring access to service of young women who use drugs under the age of 30 years, including: injecting drug users, young female sex workers, young women living with HIV, prisoners, ex-convicts.
